Fabric Shop: SkyeReve Fabrics

Pretty and bright are words I would use to describe the fabrics in sponsor shop, SkyeReve Fabrics. She picks the loveliest, most charming fabrics and collections to sell in her shop. From owner, Natasha:

My name is Natasha and I hope that you are as inspired by fabric as I am. I am a freelance fashion designer who has taken up the fabric business full time. I have 2 beautiful daughters who I adore and a wonderful hubby who is so supportive of this endeavor. I have a love for fabrics of all kinds, but especially beautiful shabby chic designs. ... My shop is named after my girls. Skye and Reve are their middle names.

Browsing through the shop, you will realize she loves floral fabrics (as do I) and has a great selection.

And she also has a great selection of some of the best Christmas fabric collections!

Fabric Shop: Contemporary Cloth

Sponsor shop, Contemporary Cloth, has a carefully curated selection of modern and contemporary fabrics ranging from quilting cottons and home dec to fiber artists and supplies.

Although you can find all of the fabric on her recently updated site by collection or designer, it is obvious that owner Sondra takes great care in selecting fabric for her shop.

Contemporary Cloth is an online store which opened in 2001. Our goal was to provide a resource for interesting, contemporary/modern and retro-look textiles for home or office, at reasonable prices. Our fabrics are used in art quilts, wearable art, wall art, interior design projects, crafts, mixed media, book arts, etc. Our worldwide customer base has inspired us to continue on the path that we have started.

She also has a very nice selection of organic cotton fabrics from a variety of manufacturers in both quilting cottons and home dec weights.

Fabric Shop: Fat Quarter Shop

Sponsor shop, Fat Quarter Shop, has a great variety and volume of fabric. Not only do they have the newest fabric bundled into lovely fabric quarter sets like above, but they also have a large sale section and weekly sales.

The Fat Quarter Shop was founded in 2003 by Kimberly Jolly. An avid quilter, Kimberly began her shop as a side business while still working a corporate position, cutting, packing and shipping right out of her house during evenings and weekends. From the very beginning, she was committed to delivering top-notch service for every single order and customer. As the Fat Quarter Shop's reputation grew, Kimberly decided to make it a full-time operation. Her husband Kevin joined her not long after, and with his help, lots of hard work, and a tireless commitment, the store began to grow. Over the past few years a few more people have joined the staff!

Fat Quarter Shop also has some fantastic clubs, kits and patterns. They have Block-of-the-Month clubs, fat quarter and jelly roll clubs and more. Their collection of quilt patterns and magazines really is one of the most comprehensive I've seen.

They also run The Christmas Cloth Store. It's pretty fantastic to find such a great variety of Christmas fabric all in one place.

Fabric Shop: Fabricworm

Sponsor shop, Fabricworm, always has the best of the newest collections to hit the market. Owner Cynthia and I seem to have very similar taste! And not only does she take care of a busy internet shop, but also a cute brick-and-mortar in Paso Robles, California as well. In her words:

I'm a Momma to two beautiful boys and I have finally found my calling. Thanks to the Internet for making it possible. I will never forget picking out fabrics with my Mom that would eventually be transformed into matching dresses for me and my "Mandy and Jenny" Dolls. My Mom was always a Crafter and an Entrepreneur. ... I, like my Mom love to create beautiful things. ... With two little boys it's not quite the same, no dolly dresses to make. But dinosaurs, robots and rocketships have become a real passion of mine:) This might explain why my taste in fabric is a little less dainty than you might find elsewhere.

Fabricworm does have a great selection of "boy" fabric (and "girl", too!). Another great feature of the shop is the custom bundles. There are stash builders, designer bundles and themed-quilt bundles - like Summer Squeeze or Crisp Morning.

And, as if all of this didn't keep her busy enough, Cynthia is also the owner of organic fabric manufacturer, Birch Fabrics. In addition to featuring designers like Monaluna and Dan Stiles, she and her husband, Jason, design some of the fabrics themselves under the name Jan-Cyn. Fabricworm sells Birch Fabrics in addition to a great selection of organic fabrics from other manufacturers as well.

Fabric Shop: Miss Matatabi

It's always a joy perusing the shop of sponsor Miss Matatabi. The shop is located near Toyko and is stocked with lots of Nani Iro and other modern Japanese fabrics. Frances is the owner and operator of Miss Matatabi. In her words:

I am originally from Australia and came to Tokyo to study 7 years ago. I thought I would be in Japan for a year and leave with very fond memories but once I had been here for a few months something told me that my future was here. I had no idea how that was going to unfold but a while later I met ... the man who would become my husband and, little by little, Japan has become my second home. We have a daughter, ... who brings me joy beyond my wildest dreams, and two sweet little cats, Rolly and Marchi.

The shop is filled with Nani Iro prints (top photo), cotton fabrics, cotton/linen blend fabrics and trims.

Be sure to check out the sale section as well, now featuring 40% off Nani Iro's Antique Label.
