I was a pattern-tester for Patty Young and made the Kyoko Misses pattern. There are many different ways to make this pattern, it is very versatile. I made the shirt-length with 3/4-sleeves, no obi in knit fabric. It came together easily thanks to the well-written instructions. It has quickly become my favorite shirt, I've worn it a million times (okay, slight exaggeration) and washed it a bunch of times too with no shrinkage. My biggest fear was that the top would gape open due to my, um, small size, but no such problems. The coverage is great. Also, I was afraid that the top would be too tight towards the bottom because I'm a bigger size in those measurements (good ole pear shape!), but again, no problems at all. The shirt is very flattering.
My kids were beyond shocked that I chose a bright pink fabric (I usually wear blacks and greys), but I thought it was a great color for spring and I do love the some shades of pink (like this one!)
